Buzz
Some arise from projectss in commercial and artistic contexts; others emerge through creation, observation, and writing. From experimental research, extended reality (XR), and visual design to critical and thematic reflections, these works unfold in both Taiwan and the UK.
Each update traces how a few representative projects expand and resonate across different contexts, collectively forming a non-linear timeline.

Yang-hsi hsiao
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Yang-his Hsiao is a Taiwanese visual designer and XR researcher, who graduated from the MA Virtual Reality program at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.
Born near Taiwan's Fourth Nuclear Power Plant, Gongliao, she was deeply influenced by the egg-throwing anti-nuclear protests as well as local gang-related scenes. As a fourth-generation resident of a water conservation area, these life experiences have shaped her profound reflections and awareness regarding environmental, social, and contemporary issues.
Her solo exhibition “Da Yin Wang Shan” was awarded the Art New Talent Award by the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan. Additionally, the book cover designs "Afternoon Thundershower" and "Lunatic is the Night" were selected for the Golden Butterfly Award, Taiwan's prestigious publication design competition. She is currently engaged in a series of cross-disciplinary research projects focused on violence prevention. One of the works, The Old Enemy, is a narrative animation that combines virtual reality and experimental noise to explore the psychological mechanisms and cultural roots of cyclical violence. Another project, Diving into the Wreck, is a transnational and interdisciplinary XR cross-platform initiative that applies psychological theories to design relatively safe interactive environments within virtual systems. It enables users to practice intervention strategies in simulated sexual harassment scenarios, aiming to enhance their capacity to provide immediate support to victims.
Working across commercial design and the arts, she continuously explores themes of existence through visual design and XR technologies, transforming intangible observations and insights into tangible, compelling visual narratives.
蕭羊希,臺灣視覺設計師及XR研究者,畢業於倫敦藝術大學倫敦傳播學院虛擬實境研究所。生於核四廠旁、貢寮,深受蛋洗核電及黑道場面影響,水域保護區居民第四代,生命經驗促成對環境、社會及議題的深思與覺察。
個展《大隱魍山》獲中華民國文化部頒發「藝術新秀獎」,裝幀設計作品《午後雷陳雨》、《夜長夢多》入選金蝶獎台灣出版設計大獎。目前她正在進行一系列以暴力犯罪預防為核心的跨域研究計劃。其中《兩面宿敵》(The Old Enemy)為一部融合虛擬實境與實驗噪音的敘事動畫,探討暴力循環的心理機制與文化根源。另一件作品《潛入沉船》(Diving into the Wreck)則為一項跨國、跨學科的XR跨平台專案,運用心理學理論於虛擬影像系統中設計相對安全性的互動情境,使使用者能在模擬的性騷擾場景中實作干預策略訓練,以提升對受害者的即時支持能力。
作品跨足商業設計與藝術領域,持續透過視覺設計、XR等不同媒介探索各種「存在」的議題,專注於將無形的觀察與體悟轉化為有形而具感染力的視覺敘事。

Founded in 2017, YANGHSI.ORG Studio offers services in art direction, illustration, graphic design, animation, speculative design, and XR narrative design. Its research focuses on exploring the multi-layered interactions between XR and sonic resonance, aiming to extend auditory and visual media into bodily perception—creating a subtle yet impactful form of haptic stimulation.
Recent projects include book design for A Topology at the End of History – On Wang Mo-Lin and Chen Chieh-Jen and the Artquake In Autumn festival Zine Vol.01-2; key visual design for Gisèle Vienne’s Crowd, FC Bergman’s The Sheep Song, Approaching Theatre’s Ghostopia, Indonesian experimental music duo Senyawa’s Oriental Mysticism Taiwan Tour, Japanese free jazz ensemble Big Foot Taiwan Performance, and One Litre Sound’s Reverberation – Pulsating.
The studio also provided art direction for Kuang-Yi Ku’s immersive exhibition and VR film Grandmom Mom, and 3D visual design for Future Museum of Holy Pig. Other major visual design works include 2020–2022 Taitung Fringe Festival, C-LAB’s Diversonics: Sound Art Festival, and Dark Eyes Ltd./Dark Eyes Performance Lab's Lunatic is the Night, spanning theatre, VR exhibitions, and publications.
隱山設計工作室成立於2017年,提供美術指導、插畫、平面、動畫、推測設計及XR敘事設計等服務,研究則著重於探索XR與聲音共鳴的多層次交互,試圖將聽覺及視覺媒介延伸至身體感知,成為一種隱藏式的觸覺衝擊。
近期為《歷史從未終結——王墨林與陳界仁的解放地誌學》、《秋天藝術節小誌V01-2》裝幀設計;吉賽兒.韋安《群浪》、伯格曼劇場《羊之歌》、窮劇場《黑夜.腹語.鬼托邦》、印尼樂團Senyawa《東方神秘主義》台灣巡迴演唱會、日本自由爵士組合《Big Foot 臺灣公演》及一公聲《共振計劃-拍頻》主視覺設計。
也曾為顧廣毅作品《祖母母親》沉浸式展覽及VR影片美術指導、《未來神豬博物館》3D視覺設計;《2020-2022臺東藝穗節》、C-LAB《聲響藝術節:Diversonics》、黑眼睛文化/黑眼睛跨劇團《夜長夢多》劇場、VR展覽、出版等主視覺設計。
